2017-2018 Approved Courses through MTH

For the 2017-2018 school year we are trying something new, MTH.   For those that use MTH, this post may be helpful to you.  The first step in our home education journey for the new school year was having our classes approved.  By doing so, we can be refunded up to a certain amount on nonreligious home education items.

Period 2- Math

Charlotte Mason Institutes-The Alveary. Student will use the lessons plans and books outlined. Student will increase her mathematical skills by utilizing Ray's Practical Arithmetic, First Lessons in Geometry, Paper Sloyd for Primary Grades, and Number Stories of Long Ago- but it not limited to its use. Resources also include graph paper notebooks to complete work. Math games, books, and manipulatives may also be used. Family yearly membership to the Alveary will be used.

(We will be using the Charlotte Mason Institute's The Alveary for all our courses.  It has book lists and lesson plans for several subjects including math.  I needed to include the membership for one of our courses so I can be reimbursed for it.  For math itself, we will be following Charlotte Mason and they way she did math.  I'm still learning about this.)
